Things I want to remember about my girls right now:
Tatum (almost 17 months): you can't help but giggle and be happy when you look at tater totter's sweet face and dark eyes. When she looks in the mirror she says Daddy...I don't correct her. She is becoming obsessed with chappy. She loves/demands to put the lids on things like the milk jug and oj. She loves to warm things up in the microwave in her kitchen. She loves to get chased by daddy at bedtime. She thinks she is so funny when she disappears around the corner and reappears! When you ask her to do her tricks she leans to the side and sticks one leg up in the air. She can say: mama, dada, Iya, up, uh-oh, help, bonker-boo, and blablablabla for Grandma obviously. But, the best word she says ALL the time is. Do, as in, thank you. She says it ANYTIME you do something for her or give her something. It is so precious. She loves to climb up on the ottoman and get on the couch. She loves to wear socks. Anytime anyone mentions leaving, she gets her shoes and coat and stands by the door. She loves to get kisses when she gets an owie. She still points to her tray to get more food on there. She has the best curls when she gets out of the bath or shower. She laughs at the same part of Bubble Guppies, right before the joke that is on every episode. She loves to be on my hip still or sitting on the counter in the kitchen.

Isla (3 years & 1 month): her favorite things to do are play with things that aren't toys: junk mail that she says is a menu, a heart gem that fell of a dress up shirt, an old key chain, sticky notes, etc. She is so great about asking: "How was your day mom? What did your students do today?" "How is your chicken mom?" (While making dinner) "How is your tooth feeling mom?" (I had a toothache) She adores her big boy cousin Cole and is so sensitive to how much he talks/plays/looks at her. (For the record he is amazing with her, she just would prefer non-stop attention). Isla loves cinnamon gum. Mema made some essential oil lotion for me for xmas and Isla got it out of my room a few weeks ago not knowing it was from Mema and we were putting it on and she said, "Oh mom. This smells just like Mema's skin." She knows what she likes to eat. When she says she is hungry, she means it. We were at the mall and were going to wait to eat when we go home but it was getting late and she was hungry. She told me she wanted a sandwich so we walked to Subway and she asked for a pepperoni sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and mustard. And ate it. We had pizza one night and she got down when she was done then came back later and said she was still hungry and ate 2 more slices. She has quite the vocabulary. The other day she told Brandon, "Daddy, that frightened me! When you did that it startled me!" She knows how to turn on the drama, especially for me and grandma. She told me the other day she wants to be a rock and roll singer on stage. She loves to be a helper. She doesn't have much of a booty so she is always showing some butt crack. We are not allowed to say butt around her, we always get corrected to say booty. She makes the best chef specials for daddy with her pretend pizza kit.
Broncos fan down to the toes.
I was trying to get a minute to myself, no such luck.
