The 16 members of the Carlucci Crew left as soon as school was out for Disney World. We were thankful recipients of the Mema and Pepa Disney Scholarship Program and excited for a week together in the most magical place on earth. We went hard and had 5 days at the park days at the park only to be slowed down by Isla and my stomach bug sickness (which I am still suffering from...day 7, ugh and some unfortunate job news for me...more on that later.) Our most favorite highlights from the trip are riding Splash Mountain with Paigey Patch. She got to ride it 4 times! She was just barely tall enough, thank God for crocs and her big hair. We would put her under measurement bar and pull her head up a bit to stretch her neck! She loved it. In fact, she and Brandon went on it first and then we traded so I could ride with Isla. I was telling her I was a little bit nervous and she held my hand and told me, "Don't worry mommy. I will take care of you. Your tummy might feel a little bit funny when we go on it, but it will be ok." Tater tot was great too! She was hilarious with the little babies and quite territorial with her stuff. (See pic below where she is sitting in her tube in our hotel room hoarding all of her things so Maria couldn't get them). She loved baby JuJu and added some new words to her small vocabulary like hollering for Mema and Pepa. In fact, Pepa will forever be her favorite since he bought her a Minne Baby Doll, or as she calls it her "MayMay Baby." Tatum loved the pool and thought she could dive in by herself and would even put her hands out. Isla learned how to swim "far" underwater to someone with out her floaties. There is no concept of time in Disney and many nights we were home after midnight. We saw lots of shows, parades and firework shows in addition to all of the rides! Disney is an intense vacation with hot temps, long lines, and lots of people, but the girls were troopers. All the Carlucci kids were! We finally made it home (after a delay in FL & a delay in KC).
